The host
From bartending to her role as brand ambassador for Diageo, Charlotte Barker spends her days talking all things whisky. Most of you know her as the ex bar manager at Milroys where she still runs the Woman’s+ Whisky Night. Charlotte is an ardent supporter of diversity in spirits. She is also supports the Refuge UK charity donating her bottles for the tasting for that cause.

Charlotte will be hosting our August tasting presenting a wide range of the rarer Diageo drams and geeking out with us about what’s going on in Diageo universe.

The Charity
Charlotte will very kindly donate the whiskies to the club to support her chosen charity Refuge UK.
Refuge is the largest specialist domestic abuse organisation in the UK, and has led the campaign against domestic abuse since 1971, when they opened the world’s first safe house for women and children in 1971.
Back then, domestic abuse was seen as a “private matter”, to be dealt with behind closed doors. Society turned a blind eye.
Women and children escaping domestic abuse flocked to their doors because, for the first time, someone was saying it was wrong to beat your partner.
On any given day their services support thousands of survivors, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives — free from fear.
Tickets will go on sale on the 30th of July.
Melody Bar Credit and Staff Tip
All tickets at Melody include a £10 bar credit valid against drinks and/or food on the night or at any time until the day before the next Club tasting. Please speak to bar staff to apply your credit to your bill. All tickets at Melody also include a £5 tip which is given to the staff working in the bar and restaurant on the night.
