19:30 Thursday 13th January 2022
£75 – all of which will be donated to Blameless Children’s Charity Hamilton
In-person at Melody Bar only

For January’s Capital Whisky Club gathering we have arranged a very special charity tasting consisting of drams supplied by the founder and owner of Scotch Whisky Auctions, Tam Gardiner.

The evening will be hosted by Tam Gardiner and brand ambassador Deborah McCallum.

The Drams

We don’t know!

All we know for sure is Tam will be bringing a stone cold unicorn bottle with him to share with us – the 1966 Springbank Local Barley.

And Tam and Deborah’s challenge is to ensure this isn’t the best bottle of the night!

Rumours of a second Springbank, an old Islay, even a private cask – are just rumours for now. The Club doesn’t even know! There will be about 150ml liquid in total – some full drams, some half drams, all of them memorable drams.

You can optionally join in with the theme of the night and bring something special of your own for sharing around with Tam, Deborah and your fellow members after the tasting. But there’s as always no obligation for you to bring along anything at all.

The Charity

All of the bottles are supplied free of charge by Tam, in order to maximise the donation to Tam’s chosen charity Blameless Children’s Charity Hamilton. Blameless is a family orientated organisation whose purpose is to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol and drug use. They aim to advance the education of young people and families, highlighting the dangers and hardship of alcoholism or addiction. Children, parents, affected family members and dependants are provided much needed distractions, happy memories, recreational activities and other opportunities with the main goal being “fun in recovery”.

At Tam’s request, we are unable to send drams to remote participants, so this tasting will be in-person only at Melody.

All Capital Whisky Club tastings are non-refundable, non-transferable, and for members only. If you are unable to attend after purchase, please let us know as soon as possible so we can try to resell your ticket.
